Spicy Apple Cake

Ingredients
| 125 | g | butter or margarine |
| 250 | g | self raising wholemeal flour |
| 50 | g | oat and bran flakes(or All-Bran) |
| 125 | g | soft brown sugar |
| 5 | ml | ground cinnamon(1 tsp) |
| 5 | ml | ground mixed spice(1 tsp) |
| 500 | g | cooking apple(peeled, cored & roughly chopped (or 4 apples)) |
| 2 | eggs(size 3) | |
| 150 | ml | milk |
Method
1.Rub the butter into the flour until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.
2.Stir in the oat and bran flakes, sugar, spices and apple. Add the eggs and milk. Beat thoroughly.
3.Turn into lined 7" cake tin.
4.Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 1-1¼ hrs.
