
Mum's Sticky Toffee Pudding

Ingredients
| 175 | gms | dates, chopped |
| 1/2 | tsp | bicarbonate of soda |
| 125 | gms | butter |
| 125 | gms | sugar |
| 125 | gms | self-raising flour |
| 2 | eggs | |
| 2/3 | cup | boiling water |
| 300 | gms | brown sugar(for sauce) |
| 50 | gms | butter(for sauce) |
| 1 | cup | cream(for sauce) |
| few drops | vanilla(for sauce) |
Method
1.Sprinkle soda on dates & cover with boiling water.
2.Cream butter and sugar.
3.Add eggs and beat well.
4.Stir in flour.
5.Add dates & water.
6.Bake in oven @ 180C for about 30, 40 or 60 mins.
7.For the sauce, combine all ingredients in saucepan and stir till thick.
