
Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Ingredients
| 3/4 | cup | sugar(170g) |
| 3/4 | cup | packed brown sugar(150g) |
| 1 | cup | butter(225g) |
| 1 | large egg | |
| 2 1/4 | cups | all-purpose flour(240g, plain flour) |
| 1 | teaspoon | baking soda |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt |
| 2 | cups | semisweet chocolate chips(350g) |
| 1 | cup | chopped pecans(if desired, 125g) |
Method
1.Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
2.Mix sugar, brown sugar, butter and egg in a large bowl by hand.
3.Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. The dough will be very stiff.
4.Stir in chocolate chips.
5.Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
6.Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown. The centers will be soft.
7.Let cool for one minute then remove from cookie sheet and place on wire rack to finish cooling.
